4.3 Combustion OUTPUT FORM
Outputs
CO
2
(Carbon Dioxide) e %CO
2
in the combustion products.
Excess O
2
(Excess Air) e amount of O
2
above the minimum theoreti-
cal amount needed for complete combustion. For complete and ecient
combustion, Excess O
2
must be adjusted to manufacturer’s specica-
tions.
COAF (Carbon Monoxide Air Free) e amount of CO in the combustion
products taking into account the dilution eect of excess O
2
.
Net Temp (Net Temperature) e stack (vent) temperature minus the pri-
mary air temperature.
Standard E (Eciency) e actual eciency of the combustion equip-
ment calculated by analyzing the losses up the exhaust.
Siegert E (Eciency) e European standard for combustion eciency.
See Sec (See Section) e section numbers on the OUTPUT FORM refer to
the sections in this manual with more detailed information about each
test.

Appropriate levels for combustion equipment chart.
Manufacturer's specifications should always be
determined before adjusting the system.
The OUTPUT FORM displays the
results of the test. Standard
Efficiency should be close to
manufacturer's specifications.
